I agree with the author’s opinion of the New York Times’ most recent botchment of journalism. The one before, you may recall, was when they published an anonymous letter from someone purporting to be on the inside of the administration keeping a check on Trump. That was about a year ago. I’m ditching the NYT for the LA times.
There is a good point in this article, regardless of the clownery of the press (and they are biased toward sensationalism more than anything else) we mustn’t let the distastefulness of the messenger overshadow the point, which, after all, is pretty nakedly awful

Perhaps this is the conservative punditry’s heart cracking open not cracking apart. I completely agree with his final points except #2. I think the best thing that could happen for our country and to the 2020 election is for Trump to be ousted. Criminal or not it is a complete abuse of power.
Don’t remember who the former intelligence person who said the following but it is true enough for me. “If the whistle blowers complaint about using the classified section is true, not only was it done to conceal evidence but it also degrades the very system and purpose of classified information”
